Women have a closeness with other Women that men could
never have with another man. When a group of Women are together
it is as though they are all Sisters. Women have a need to be
close to other Women and to share their feelings with one another.
This is why Women take part in such things as Womens clubs, Wiccan
and Priestess covents, and Female organizations. They stand together
in unity to help one another. But do Women really get along that
well together all of the time?
At times Women can be quite malicious, back-stabbing, and two-faced.
Why? Because Women do not have the physical strength that men
do so when Women fight they tend to use their minds instead of
their fists. They rely heavily on this one weapon and it can often
hurt more than any fist can. Emotional bruises do not go away.Women
also know exactly how to hurt one of their own because they know
how other Women think and feel.
The sad thing is that a Woman may do something vicious to another
Woman without even having a very good reason. It may be simply
because She is jealous of theWoman and feels intimidated by her
beauty or popularity. She will cut the other Woman down to size,
so to speak, in an effort to try to make Her own self feel better
about Her own looks (or lack there of). She lets Her insecurities
get out of control. I am sure every Woman went through at least
one situation during Her teens years where other Girls at school
had put Her down. I am certain We can all relate to the movie
"Carrie". But why do Women feel so jealous of other
Women?
All Women want to be either Barbie or Miss America: "The
most beautiful Woman in the world". Women have a tendency
to want to be more beautiful than the next Woman. They compete
to be the most beautiful just as men compete to be the strongest
and/or powerful male. Some of this could be a natural animal instinct
but I feel alot of it is influenced by society. Women are raised
to believe that they have to look beautiful in order to get the
man and anything else they might want.
But being beautiful is not all it is cracked up to be. men will
not care to hear anything intelligent You might have to say. They
just cannot get past Your outer appearance. I will never forget
what it was like being a blonde. men often nicknamed Me "Blondie"
and always talked about My hair. They would talk over top of what
I had to say or what I said would go in one ear and out the other.
Finally I had enough and I dyed it back to brown. The difference
was mind-blowing! Only within a couple hours of being blonde and
now being brunette, suddenly they let Me talk! The men heard everything
I said and they even responded to it with great interest. Trucks
coming down the road behind Me no longer blew their horn at Me
simply because they saw blonde hair. My life had gone back to
being, somewhat, normal within only a few hours! Being beautiful
has other draw backs too.
You may land a job because of Your looks but You will end up getting
bothered at work more because it. I have numerous stories to tell
about that but one of them is that when I was employed at a company
and the manager had the hots for Me. he asked Me out on a date
and after a long time of turning him down I made the mistake of
eventually accepting. After dinner he took Me to his home and
asked to sleep with Me. I politely said no and he gave Me a hard
time about it. he fired Me the next day.
Being average looking would have the following advantages:
1. You would have less men stalking and hunting You when You are
out in public.
2. men would treat You with more respect instead of making an
ass out of themselves because of Your looks (ie: hooting and hollaring
at You as they drive by You).
3. You will not be put down or picked on if one hair is out of
place (making You instantly an "Ahah! So You are not perfect
after all!" target)
4. You will have more Female friends since They would not feel
jealous of Your beauty.
5. men will notice Your intelliegence instead of just Your looks.
Both have advantages and disadvantages. The thing is to make the
best of what You have been given and not to be cruel to Your Sisters
who may have something that You do not just because You feel insecure
about it. You should not risk destroying a potentially great friendship
because of it.
Women should stick together instead of competing against one another.
What is it We are competing for anyways? men? Why compete for
them? There are plenty of them out there and even if the good
ones are hard to find it is not a necessity that We have to have
one. Of course it would be great to have a soul mate who is there
for You whenever You need him. But is he worth fighting with Your
Sisters over? And why dump the plans You had with Your girlfriends
just because he called? he can wait. You can always see him another
time.
men know it is an advantage for Women to stick together. That
is why throughout history men have tried to keep Women apart from
one another. Have You not ever heard men complaining to their
Wives about how he hates it when Her Girlfriends "influence"
Her? Many innocent Women were burned at the stake from being labelled
as a witch because men wanted to scare Women away from "gathering"
together. Some of them may have in fact been witches but it is
a better known fact that most of the people burned were not even
witches at all. Many of those Women, men, and children had been
innocent of any crime. We now know that most of those Women had
been midwives, Women who healed townsfolk with natural herb remedies
(and so were classified as being witches), and Women who were
killed for disobeying their husbands and men in power.
Women should gather and join together. We need to help one another
instead of hurting one another. If Women could get past jealousy
and not feel intimidated by another Woman's beauty then We could
all stand together and together We would have so much more power
to change things. Do not let male violence scare You away from
gathering together. Do not give into violence or it will always
win.
Gather! Unify! Join! Group!
Women Unite, Not Fight!

I totally relate to you because women are jealous of me, they
look at me like I'm gonna pick up their ogling husbands in the

Here, Here, I thoroughly enjoyed your article about sisterhood.
Its so true, how women are towards other women. I'm one of those
women that women hate because of my looks and I'm slim (god forbid!).
I have encoutered so much hurt and isolation most of my life because
of it, and I'm a good person and can be a good friend but that
doesn't seem to matter. I never understood why women wasted so
much energy on this, instead of supporting each other. Women should
stick together no matter what. There will always be a more beautiful
and slimmer woman, forget about it, they are not going to go away.
I wish women could be more secure. Regarding men, they may initially
like you because of your looks, but eventually they are going
to like you for you, your personality. Why be jealous of other
women, be yourself and forget competition, there's someone for
everyone!
