"Why do some Mistresses call themselves a Goddess?
What's the difference between a Mistress and a Goddess?"

Goddess Lorena's Advice: A Woman names or titles Herself as She so chooses. Those who know Her, admire Her, or serve Her may prefer to address Her by another name or title but the name She has chosen for Herself will be because of how She views Herself or it maybe a reflection of special interests, desires, or philosophies She has or believes in. What you feel She is, or is not, is not so relevant. (For example, if a Woman who has always called Herself a "Goddess" has grown older and you do not feel She is a Goddess simply because you think Her looks do not reflect that of a Goddess, She is still a Goddess regardless of what you think.) you must still show Her respect by addressing Her by the chosen or given name and title She bears.

But is there a difference between a Woman who calls Herself a "Mistress" and one who calls Herself a "Goddess", and if so what is that difference?

The reason would depend on the Woman because each Woman may have a different reason. Although, I do know from experience that most Women who go by "Mistress" like to dress in leather and black, and they use BDSM in their sessions, scenes, role-play, or slave training techniques. As for the other, Women who name themselves as a "Goddess" usually use more mental domination instead of physical discipline to train their slaves, many have an interest in spiritual beliefs or the occult, and most often they believe in Female Supremacy. However, this cannot be taken literally as some sort of a guideline to follow because as I have already said, it still depends on the Woman. Some "Mistresses" may have interests in being a Priestess, dislike wearing leather, and prefer not to use whips and chains when disciplining slaves, and some "Goddesses" may like torturing slaves, own Female slaves, and do not practise or believe in Female Supremacy. There is no set standard and everyone may have their own definition for what these two titles mean so a Woman can use whatever title She prefers and if you wish to know Her reasons for using it then you will need to ask Her.

So why do I call Myself a "Goddess"? Simply because I feel that I am one and that makes Me one. (those who disagree may leave by their own accord. Let the door hit you on the way out.) For Me, a Goddess is a Woman who is different from other Women and Mistresses (For the record: not better, just different.). To Me, She is a very spiritual person, talented, creative, all knowing, a wise Woman/Crone, a Wizardess, uses Her intuitive senses, studies astrology and astonomy, helps others, is nurturing, kind and gentle and good hearted, an activist, fights to protect what is good and righteous and just, is a protector of Women and children and animals, cares for the earth and Mother Nature, looks after Her temple (Her body) and Her looks, eats well, is independant and strong but likes to be served, and likes to be worshipped and adored. (Have I forgotten anything?) How can such a Women exist and is She as perfect as She sounds? No, not if She is human. I am also hot tempered, very demanding, and have bad days just like everyone else (especially just before the new moon). But that is what makes Me so special. Even mythological Goddesses were not perfect. Hera had a bad temper, Aphrodite used men like objects, and Athena thought war and fighting was a good thing. No, a Goddess is not perfection, but She is certainly as close as you can get to finding it.

How does one find a Goddess?

Look in places where a Goddess might grace you with Her divine presence, such as in Goddess club. But I must warn you, it is best to be prepared before you apply to a Goddess. A Goddess deserves to be served well and so She expects nothing but the best from Her slaves. Do you honestly feel that you can serve Her in the manner which She deserves to be served? Do you have anything special you can offer Her as a tribute or service that She would find worthwhile when Her time is so precious and She has so many other applicants to choose from? Can you worship Her like no other man can? Will you show Her upmost respect and adoration? Will you commit to Her fully and 24/7 with absolute devotion? Are you worthy of such a Woman? If you doubt any one of those things then I suggest you seriously consider being trained how to serve such a Woman first. To find the "right" Goddess (or Mistress), you must first be the "right" slave. Only then will She consider owning you.

Goddess Alison's Advice: "Oh boy there's a really big difference!! A Mistress is pretty well any Woman that dominates and ownes slaves and a Goddess is a Supreme Woman. All you have to do is read all the stuff in Goddess club and you'll see these Woman are a lot different from other fem doms on the net. I don't think of Myself as a Mistress, I'm a Goddess from head to toe. Worship Me :)"

Goddess Christine's Advice: "A Mistress is a Female owner of slaves or a Woman who dominates and takes control of those who submit to Her. A Goddess however is so much more than this. She is One who must be worshipped and adored. She requires Her subjects to be completely devoted to Her and willing to do anything to please Her, serve Her and make Her happy. She expects to be presented with offerings that will please and placate Her, and she will wreak vengeance on those who do not do this. She is the divine incarnate. She is the embodiment of all that is noble, true, wise and beautiful. She should be held in awe. Her slaves must worship the ground She walks on and humbly grovel at her feet begging to be considered worthy enough to serve Her. For a Goddess is One who is truly great and demands total respect, devotion and adoration at all times and forever."

Lady Kyla's Advice: "My personal view on this may be different than most, who knows. I used to call myself Mistress but I began calling myself Goddess because I am softer than a Mistress. More gentle and loving (but always firm of course). I prefer to be obeyed because I am worshipped, rather than obeyed because I might beat the crap out of you. I enjoy being pampered and served, and that is where my interestes lie. If my interests happen to coincide with yours, then that is all the better. But my needs and desires (and any Woman's for that matter) should always be paramount. I hope that answers your question."

worshipper slave bruce's Advice: "i look at a Goddess as being more of a lifestyle Woman who believes in the philosophy of Female Supremacy as i do and wishes to be worshipped as is Her rightful place. A Mistress to me is more of a Professional Woman who makes Her living catering to client's fantasties and in a lot of instances does not believe in Female Supremacy at all. However, these 2 terms cannot be treated in just black and white terms, as i do know a lot of Mistresses who are really lifestyle people and also are Female Supremacists"

worshipper slave x.j.'s Advice: "This can cause alot of confusion. In my mind, a Goddess is a stunning Woman. It refers to a Woman who makes a man just want to fall down and worship Her. (Goddess Lorena, is a good example of a Goddess.) A Mistress, on the other hand, is simply a Woman who owns a slave. Therefore, a Goddess who owns no slaves would not be a Mistress."

worshipper slave c.'s Advice: "The reason some Mistresses call themselves a Goddess is an effort to set themselves apart and on a higher level from Women who are professional Dominatrixes and not necessarily Female Supremacists. The term 'Mistress' in the past has been associated with a kept Woman and more recently as pro Doms (as mentioned), both not leaving a very favourable impression. Thus the term 'Goddess' has been adopted to indicate that a Woman believes in Female Supremacy and Female Domination.

However the term 'Goddess' has been corrupted as more and more pro Doms have started using it as a way of cashing in on its popularity and unfortunately misrepresent themselves as Female Supremacists. Thus We/we have a situation where the term 'Goddess' is being depreciated.

This situation can be remedied if, as true Female Supremacists, We/we embrace both 'Mistress' and 'Goddess' as interchangeable honorifics, showing respect when a Female is being addressed. In this way eradicating the negative connotations from the past associated with the term 'Mistress' and allowing either term to be used to indicate recognition of the Female's superior position."

worshipper slave roger k.'s Advice: "Mistress is a word that has many meanings. Usually, the word Mistress is employed to designate a Woman with which a married man has a relationship. i'm guessing that this is why some dominant Mistresses prefer to call themselves a Goddess. But sometimes the word Mistress also designates a dominant Woman who has power and authority.

Goddess, on the other hand, is a much stronger word. A Woman who's great charm and beauty arouse adoration is called a Goddess. She's a Supreme being and most importantly she's unique and has many worshippers who are devoted to her."

worshipper slave danny k.'s Advice: "Often references by title are made inadvertently, such is the case of a Mistress referencing Herself to be also a Goddess, though a Goddess may wish to be refered to as Mistress by Her choice. The title of Mistress is most often used when refering to a Woman who dominates others, particularly males, for the enjoyment of reining Her power, or for the financial benefits. They may dominate other Females who consider themselves submissive to a Female Domme. Many Mistresses have a male partner, or husband, and may even be submissive themselves to a male domme. This differs drastically from a true Goddess. Goddesses are Superior Females, and consider all Females Superior to all males. They are advocates of Female Supremacy in the purest sense. A Goddess would never consider dominating another Female to be Her slave. While a Mistress may take the title of Goddess, She most often does not practice Female Supremacy in all aspects of Her life. A true Goddess will never submit Herself to any male ever, as She is the true Superior."
