Ophiuchus

This week I
saw a large statue of the Virgin Mary in a store. I was surprised to see Her standing on a large snake, overpowering it. I asked the store clerk about it and he explained that most statues of Her would have Her standing on a snake. Although he did not know why but he did say that it bothers some people. I later asked a priest at a Catholic church about this and he explained that the snake represents Satan since the Devil disguised himself as a snake to Eve in Eden. I asked why Satan decided to be a snake in Eden, and also what the snake in the statue might represent besides Satan. The priest said he did not know. But I do. Obviously the snake symbolizes Paganism and the Minoan Snake Goddess of ancient Greece, just as Ophiuchus does.

Many people do not realize that there used to be a 13th sign in the zodiac. It is interesting to learn why
Claudius Ptolemy (130-170 AD) had it removed.

Ophiuchus is a constellation bordered by the constellations Hercules, Serpens Caput, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Serpens Cauda, and Aquila. (Notice how two of those constellations seem similar to the word Serpent.) Ophiuchus is located northwest of the center of the Milky Way.

The constellation of Ophiuchus represents the "Snake Holder", or the "Snake Bearer", and is also known as the "Healer". References on this constellation (and missing zodiac sign) state that this Healer is "Nesculapius", the mythological healer of the sick. If that is the case then why is the constellation named Ophiuchus and not Nesculapius? Other sources state that Ophiuchus is also known as "Aesculapius" and "Serpentarius".

It is believed that Ophiuchus was removed from the zodiac because 13 is an unlucky number (since Jesus had 13 Apostles who betrayed him, and the Knights Templar were killed on Friday 13, 1307). However, Ophiuchus appears in between November 30 and December 17 (after Sagittarius and before Capricorn), making it not the 13th zodiac sign but in fact the 10th sign of the zodiac. Thus in truth Pisces (Jesus's zodiac sign) is the 13th sign of the zodiac. So what is the real reason why it was removed from the western zodiac?

What do you think of when you reads the words "Snake Holder", "Snake Bearer", and "The Healer"? Many people realize that the medical profession uses the symbol of two snakes entwining up a winged staff, but not all understand the significance. Could it be a symbol of the lost zodiac sign Ophiuchus? If so then why is this not disclosed? Why the secrecy?

The answer is within all ancient history books. One ancient symbol which consists of snakes is the symbol for fertitily; an egg with a snake coiled around it. But even more significant is the Snake Goddess which the Minoans of ancient Greece had worshipped . You may have seen a picture of Her before. She stands tall, is barebreasted wearing only a long skirt, and She holds up two snakes, one in each of Her hands.

When the patriarchal rulers took over Mesopotamia and forbid Goddess Worship and Paganism they knew they also had to remove Ophiuchus from the zodiac, otherwise people would remember. We would know that it is a symbol of the Snake Goddess.

This may also be the reason why it was later written in the patriarchal bible that Eve was tempted by a snake to sin and so was banished from Eden. The snake may have been a symbol of Satan as the bible implies, or the snake may have represented the penis (and the sin being the sex) as some other believe. But could the snake have been used as a symbol of the Snake Goddess and the message was a patriarchal threat to all Women to not revert back to Matriarchal Goddess Worship?

When we go to heaven and see God we should ask Her.

As I researched the 13th zodiac sign which had been removed from our modern day zodiac (thus leaving only 12 zodiac signs), I found that sometimes changes are not always for the better. For example, the 13th zodiac sign had been named Ophiuchus (aka Aesculapius and Serpentarius). It had originally been the Snake Goddess, the Goddess of Medicine.
In Ancient Egypt snakes had been considered sacred and often portrayed fertility. We already know that most of the Goddesses of Ancient Egypt were depicted with cobra snakes as heads, or had snakes in their crown, or snakes were used in worship of them. The ancient Minoans had worshipped a Snake Goddess. Even today we know that snake venom can cure snake bites (similar to how mold can create penicillin, and how a bee sting can cure arthritis). However, the Greeks had later changed the zodiac sign to be a male God, and then Claudius Ptolemy (130-170 AD) removed this 13th zodiac sign from the zodiac altogether. This could explain why the Greek myth had Perseus kill a Goddess named Medusa who had snakes as hair, and why the Jews wrote about how a Woman named Eve was tempted by Satan impersonating a snake. It is common knowledge that many men fear snakes and more than Women do. Could this fear stem from ancient times when the snake had been used in the worship of the Goddess? Regardless, this lack of a 13th zodiac sign means that you may have been reading the wrong horoscope your entire life. Ophiuchus used to be positioned after Scorpio between Sagittarius and Capricorn, and rules between November 30 - December 17. This amends every zodiac sign, including Mine, the Virgo. Although I feel like a Virgo through and through, I am not surprised to learn that My sign according to the original zodiac is Leo the Ruler, since I can be quite bossy (shocked?).

Here are some possibilities to consider:

1. The Egyptian God Thoth holds a staf on which two snakes entwine it. This staf of two snakes is now used as a logo for our modern medicine. It is written that Thoth had invented astronomy and that he had given Goddess Isis the formula to resurrect Osiris. Thoth battles between good and evil. he had been bitten by Set (Satan) who had taken the form of a snake and Thoth had learned how to cure himself of the snake's venom. In the original zodiac could Thoth had been the 13th zodiac sign (who had previously been the Snake Goddess)?

2. Could that story of Thoth be where the Jews got the idea for their story of Eve (evil) and the snake (Set/Satan) and Adam (a damn)?

3. In Babylonian mythology, Marduk, the Sun God, holds Tiamat the Snake, Monster of the Bitter Ocean (an eel?). Together they battle good and evil. A story about Thoth copied from Egypt?

4. Was the Minoan Snake Goddess of 2000 BC the zodiac's original Snake Goddess?

5. Was Medusa a Greek version of the zodiac's Snake Goddess?

6. In a Greek myth, the Earth Goddess Gaia sent Scorpius (Scorpio) to kill Orion the Hunter (Orion stars) who threatened to kill all the animals on Earth (a meteorite or comet?). Scorpius stings Orion who would have died but Ophiuchus
(aka Aesculapius and Serpentarius) gives Orion a sip of Elixir and restores Orion to health. Is this the same story of Gilgamesh? Was this myth an actual account of a meterorite that had threathened Earth around the month of November, or perhaps in the Age of Scorpio or Ophiuchus?

7. Asclepius (aka Aesculapius,
Ophiuchus, and Serpentarius) is the God of Medicine. he learned medicine from Chiron the Centaur. The snake is coiled around him and this logo is used in medicine today.

8. King Arthur's surname was Pendragon, which means "Head of the Serpent". In medieval times the snake was later portrayed as a dragon. Both the dragon and the snake was a sacred animal of the Goddess. King Arthur's Knights were in fact the Knights Templar who took an oath to protect the Holy Grail (the royal bloodline of kings). In medievel fairy tales a knight often killed a dragon to supposedly protect a royal Princess, implying that dragons and snakes were evil and that Women needed a man to protect Her from them. Considering all this, it seems the knights were (and are) only trying to prevent us from learning the truth about the Goddess and Ancient History since these men only care about having power.
